Tap Back Home offers simple pet-safety tools designed for those unexpected moments when your pet can't get home—or when you can't get home to them.
Our Smart Pet Tags help someone who finds your pet access the information you've chosen to provide, while our Emergency Responders Pet Safety Kits help alert responders that pets may be waiting for you at home.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Tap Back Home products do not require a monthly subscription.
Do I need to download an app?
No. You don't need to download a special app to use a Tap Back Home Smart Pet Tag.
Smart Pet Tags
How does a Tap Back Home Smart Pet Tag work?
Each Smart Pet Tag includes both NFC and a QR code. Someone who finds your pet can tap the tag with a compatible smartphone or scan the QR code to access your pet's profile.
What information can I put on my pet's profile?
Your pet's profile can include information that may help someone safely care for and return your pet, including your pet's name, your contact information, important care information, and other details you choose to provide.
What if someone's phone doesn't support NFC?
They can scan the QR code instead. Providing both NFC and QR gives someone two ways to access your pet's information.
Can I update my pet's information later?
Yes. If your phone number, address, emergency contact, or other pet information changes, you can update the information associated with your Smart Pet Tag without replacing the physical tag.
What happens if my pet's tag is lost or damaged?
Contact Tap Back Home for help. For your pet's privacy and safety, we can help determine the appropriate next step for the affected tag.

What is an Emergency Responders Pet Safety Kit?
The kit is designed to help alert emergency responders that pets may be home alone if you're involved in an emergency and unable to tell them yourself.
What comes in the kit?
The Emergency Responders Pet Safety Kit includes coordinated pet-safety alerts for places responders are likely to encounter information during an emergency, including your home, keys, and wallet.

Why are there several different alerts?
In an emergency, there's no way to know which piece of information a responder may encounter first. Having alerts in multiple locations increases the chances someone learns that pets may be waiting for you at home.
Is a Smart Pet Tag included with the Emergency Responders Pet Safety Kit?
